The Italians didn't really standardise their markings, and numerous variations can be found, but with the number of French-built aircraft in Italian service the French style roundel was very common from 1915, with green replacing the blue centre. In December 1917 this was declared "official" but the order of the colours wasn't specified, so you could still see aircraft with the colours reversed.
