This insignia was introduced on US aircraft in May 1942 and was basically identical to the previous version, but with the red centre circle blanked out, as red circles were naturally enough associated with Japanese aircraft. It remained in use until June 1943, when the now famous Stars'n'Bars design replaced it.

These decals are scaled to represent 30", 36" and 48" diameter roundels in 1/300 scale, although they conveniently serve as double that size for 1/600 bombers and transports. The actual diameters are 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm.
