German Straight Crosses (Thick Black With Narrow White Outline)

Product no.: 144-GE-4
£2.00

Early style Eisernes Kreuze, mainly used in spring 1918. These represent early crosses with a fixed 50mm white border; it was later thickened to 150mm, but that variant was only retained for a month or so.

Balkenkreuz style crosses as used from summer 1918 to the armistice. These were very thin armed, with narrow white borders down the sides of each arm, but not around the ends.

Italian Roundels (Red Outer)

Product no.: 144-IT-1
£2.00

The Italians didn't really standardise their markings, and numerous variations can be found, but with the number of French-built aircraft in Italian service the French style roundel was very common from 1915, with green replacing the blue centre. In December 1917 this was declared "official" but the order of the colours wasn't specified, so you could still see aircraft with the colours reversed.

Italian Roundels (Green Outer)

Product no.: 144-IT-2
£2.00

Italian roundels in reversed colours - Italian regulations oddly specified the colour of their roundels, but not the order, leading to two sets in use. The red outer tended to predominate on French-made aircraft, presumably because of its similarity to the French roundel, while Italian manufacture usually had the red in the moddle, and a green outer.

American Expeditionary Force Roundels

Product no.: 144-US-1
£2.00

American red/blue/white roundels as used by the AEF in 1918. Opinion varies on the shade of the blue; I've gone with a similar medium blue to RAF roundels of the time (this seems most likely based on my reading) rather than the navy blue some people favour.
